ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:

SPENCER HOHL

Spencer has been producing music in Ableton since 2008 and developing a deep understanding of electronic music production over the years. Releasing music under the alias Seb Hall, he has collaborated with multiple labels and built a diverse catalog of releases spanning underground dance music.

In addition to running his own record label and studio, Spencer works extensively with both vintage and modern synthesizers, drum machines, and hardware production tools. He is also an Audio Technician at Public Records, one of New York’s leading venues for electronic music and high-fidelity sound.

In his beginner Ableton classes, Spencer focuses on practical foundational skills, creative workflow, and hands-on techniques drawn from more than a decade of experience in music production and live sound.

NICHOLAS COMARATTA

Nicholas is a musician, DJ, and producer who has been active in New York City’s music scene for over a decade. Working in Ableton since 2011, he has developed a strong foundation in electronic music production, live performance, and studio recording.

Alongside DJing, Nicholas plays in and produces several psychedelic rock projects throughout Brooklyn and helps run the DIY venue and recording studio, Dark Room. His creative approach blends hands-on technical knowledge with an experimental and collaborative spirit rooted in NYC’s independent music community.

In his Ableton classes, Nicholas guides students through the fundamentals of music production — from audio interfaces and MIDI to sequencing, arrangement, and mixing. By the end of the course, students will have completed an original beat from start to finish.

The cost of the 4-week CREATE YOUR FIRST DANCE TRACK (with Ableton Live) beginner course is $600 (group of 2-3 students, 1.5hrs)

The cost of the 8-week CREATE YOUR FIRST DANCE TRACK (with Ableton Live) beginner course is $800‍ ‍(group of 2-3 students, 1hr)

Private lessons cost $160 and are for all levels (individual, 1hr)
